The development team at Avicenna Pharmacy got in touch to discuss their aspiration to develop a future pharmacy concept that aligned with their evolving offer and strategy. We liked the sound of the project and agreed to help outlining a six month time period with the first half focussing on a discover phase involving multi-stakeholder research. So that we all understood what the experience is like now, what patients need and how we might like to bring the future forward.

Understandably there was a little wariness about why we weren’t jumping straight to the design phase but we pressed home the importance of understanding before acting. We all committed and learnt a great deal. We worked up a thorough blueprint for what the Avicenna version of the future looks like and why and we innovated with a more sustainable, adaptable construction method which worked well.

Then the design phase went smoothly as we applied the concept in 2D and 3D to three different formats with different emphases in each based on our research.

A great project and a good outcome.
