Client: The ABBEY PHARMACY is one of the oldest community pharmacy’s in the country and is transforming into a community healthcare provider of the future.

Impact: Too early to say statistically but the team report rapidly swelling activity across a range of income streams. Excited to see where they are a couple of years in.

Mike came to us on a recommendation and we hit it off pretty quickly. A similar view of the future and a dovetailing of our skill sets allowed us to begin work rapidly on transforming one of the oldest community pharmacies in the country. An ambitious vision to expand the existing premises into an additional corner unit over three floors and involving five consultation rooms commenced. We started, as always, at the beginning and researched how the patients and team felt about The ABBEY PHARMACY learning that much was being done well. It was clear we needed to evolve and retain the value in the brand rather than throw away 230+ years of meaning! A sensitive, and if we say so ourselves, inspired, visual identity took inspiration from Sherborne Abbey and the surrounding environment. It was part of our job to protect the heritage of this ancient place. A lengthy and challenging planning and conservation process ensued. We almost lost heart but never fear. As a partnership we never gave up and a local campaign to encourage public support along with an adaptation of our design saw permission granted.

Working closely with Black Circle Interiors our collaboration saw a beautiful, sensitive, functional interior designed and built that afforded great scope for the team to expand their practice to new levels over the coming years. A wonderful project to be a part of and a privilege to join in.

Working with Mike we have continued to support the team with strategic and tactical support across a range of areas and in early 2023 redesigned, developed and upgraded The ABBEY PHARMACY website to reflect the stunning interior. Despite being six hours from where we live we love working with this team. Long may it continue.
